Veterans' Benefits Satisfactory Progress Policy

Attendance must not fall below 80% of scheduled class and clinic floor time, and maintain an 80% GPA to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress. If a VA student fails to meet the minimum requirements of the school's Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy at the end of any evaluation period, the student will be placed on SAP Warning. If the student fails to meet the minimum SAP requirements at the end of the subsequent evaluation period while on warning, VA educational benefits will be terminated.   • Esthetics VA Future Professionals who receive a SAP Warning at the first evaluation period will be placed on a 30-day probation and counseled. If satisfactory attendance is not regained by the end of the probationary period, VA education benefits will be terminated, and the Future Professional may face dismissal.

With the approval from the Director and School Certifying Official (SCO), the student may be permitted to continue attending as a cash-paying student. If the VA student is denied, the student will be terminated from the program, and the VA will be notified. For reentry, please see the School Catalog.
